The more we conserve gasoline, the higher the prices at the gas pump. Regardless of where the oil originates, North Dakota or Saudi Arabia the prices will increase. We will not see any pricing relief until Hydrogen fuel cells are adopted to power transportation. Honda currently has the Clarity FCX scheduled to debut in 2015 and GM is buying the Honda technology to power their vehicles, also to debut in 2015. Toyota is bringing their own hydrogen fuel cell to Market in 2015. Ford, Renault-Nissan, and Daimler are collaborating on development of fuel cells that will arrive in 2017. Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell crossovers, are currently rolling off the assembly line but are earmarked for municipal fleets, primarily in Sweden. The current offerings of hybrids like the Toyota Prius and the Chevy Volt, although good vehicles, are just a stop gap until Hydrogen Powered vehicles arrive, With the adoption of this technology by all the major automotive manufacturers the infrastructure, hydrogen fueling stations, will proliferate. Expect the introduction pricing of the vehicles to be a bit high but the competition for your dollar will decrease the pricing rapidly. The internal combustion engines days are numbered,
Hydrogen fuel cells will also be used to heat our homes and generate electricity.
Did I mention that this technology generates only water vapor which equals zero emissions.
